Tajikistan’s Pamir mountains have an incredible trekking potential wrapped in a bit of weird KGB bureaucracy. The slight Russian influence in the Pamir gives traveling in Tajikistan a unique old world feel. Off-set that with the incredible hospitality of the Pamiri people with their typical mountain culture and you are in for a true adventure. Once in remote valleys equipped with detailed maps, it’s a world of opportunities and dramatic landscapes a true playground for the mountain lover.
